today we wrote a long lesson about the characters' attitudes in the play. We spoke about Anne, Henry, and Percy. Here is what we said:

Anne pleads because she is desperate. She says: "I'm not guilty; I'm innoncent!"
She kneels before the king because she is inferior.
She shakes her head, and she trembles because she is scared.
She gasps when she sees her lover, Percy. 

Henry threatens Anne because he is angry. He is menacing.
He points at her because he accuses her.
He smiles because he is superior. He says: "I'm the King".

Percy trembles and sighs because he is desperate and devastated; Anne will be beheaded.

- vous devez également être capable de donner une réplique possible (a cue) avec le bon ton (stage direction) pour chaque verbe de parole.
