  • Hi there,

Today, you talked about the preterite.

    Part 2 (audio file)

Henri VIII created the Church of England.

Her penfriend enjoyed the visit, but she didn’t like the History room, she liked the pop stars and actors room. She even kissed Brad Pitt!

    Prétérit:

Phrase affirmative: I kissed a boy.

    -        -   BV + -ED si verbe régulier.

    -          - Pour les irrégulier : par cœur !

    Phrase négative: I didn’t kiss a boy.

ATTENTION: on ne met pas ED à la fin du verbe (le preterit est déjà dans DID)

Phrase interrogative: Did you kiss a boy?

    Verbe irrégulier:

Did you go to the cinema?

Yes, I went to the cinema.

I didn’t go to the cinema.

Homework for Thursday 17th: apprendre leçon et connaître les verbes au prétérit.

  • Hi there,

    Today, you were really boring...

    Here's the lesson:

Visit to Madame Tussaud’s wax museum

Lucy visited London last week and she went to Mme Tussaud’s wax museum with her penfriend.

The boy went* to London two years ago.

In the museum, they saw* Henri VIII (the eighth) with his six wives. He executed two of them.

In the same room, they took* pictures of the Royal family. There was* Lady Diana and also Camilla.

    (Brad Pitt).

    SEE > SAW

    TAKE > TOOK

    GO > WENT

    BE > WAS/WERE

  • Hello!

Today, we checked your quiz preparations and then we started a new lesson.

Here's what you must write in your copybooks, on a NEW PAGE!

    Thursday, December 10th

    Thursday, December 10th

    Madame Tussaud’s wax museum

In the picture, in the middle, there is the Queen of England, Elizabeth II. On the right, there’s a man, it’s Prince Philip, it’s not a body-guard! In the background, behind the hair stylist, there’s a man, it’s Prince Charles. The hair stylist is brushing the Queen’s hair.

    It’s the 50th anniversary of the Queen’s reign (1952-2002).

They are wax statues! The hairstylist is a real person, but the others are fake!

Royal family tree: Elizabeth II and her husband Prince Philip > Prince Charles (son) > Prince William and Harry (grand-sons) > Prince George (great grand-son)

Homework for Monday 14th: rendre son quiz au propre + recopier la leçon + être capable de décrire l’image.
