  • Hello!

Today, you watched a video: Is the culprit Aaron Konsminski?

Lesson 10: Today’s forensics techniques in Jack the Ripper’s case.

The streets were very dirty, so it was impossible to find fingerprints.

They didn’t find bullets because Jack the Ripper stabbed his victims.

Today, there are crime labs (invented in Lyon) and DNA analysis.

The man in the video thinks the culprit is Aaron Konsminski because he found* DNA evidence on a shawl. The shawl was found next to Catherine Eddowes.

    Is the crime solved?

Maybe the crime is not really solved because many people could have touched this shawl.

    THE END

Homework for Thursday 10th: rendre au propre son travail sur Jack the Ripper pour compléter the evidence board.

Homework for Monday 14th: apprendre la dernière leçon du chapitre.

  • Hello!

Today, you told me who was the culprit in your opinion and we did a game about the 2 preterites. Good job !

    Preterit / irregular verbs*:

    Know

    knew

    Tell

    told

    Hear

    heard

    Steal

    Stole

    Come

    Came

    Find

    Found

    Buy

    Bought

    Vocabulary:

    ·         Lie/lied : mentir

    ·         Hire/hired : engager quelqu’un.e

    ·         Step > stepped

    ·         Spot > spotted

Who is the culprit in your opinion?

I believe Montague D. was the culprit because he committed suicide on November the 9th in the morning. So maybe he got* scared after killing Mary Jane Kelly.

I suppose it’s Aaron K. because he lied when he said* he was* at the Ten Bells with his brother, whereas he didn’t have any brothers. He was a hairdresser so maybe he knew* the victims because he cut* their hair.

I think Francis T. is the culprit because he had access to many weapons (he was a doctor) and he had a collection of female organs at home! Maybe, he hired someone to kill the female prostitutes.

Homework for Monday 7th : être capable de dire qui est le coupable selon vous et pourquoi. Ramener son brouillon de tâche finale si ce n'est pas déjà fait.
