    I forgot to get one.

    Now, this minute! And hurry!

What’s wrong Jonathan? = Mary, what’s the matter?

Can we talk about it later?

You were away… = You were absent.

  • Hi!

Today, we continued the lesson about being late, absent, etc.

    In your copybook:

    1.   Helen was absent because she had the flu.

    2.   Frances is late because she overslept so she missed the bus.

    3.   Johnathan is sick, so he wants to go to the toilets.

    4.   Marie has a headache so she wants to go to the nurse.

    5.   Martyn is late because he was at the head teacher’s office.

    6.   Abel was absent last Wednesday afternoon because he had an appointment at the dentist’s.

  • Hello,

Today, I gave the tests back. And we talked about being late or absent.

    In your copybook:

The boy in picture D is late, because he missed the school bus.

When I’m late, I give a late slip to the teacher.

When I’m absent, I give an absence note to the teacher.

Our school nurse’s name is Miss Lepine and our head teacher’s name is Miss Durrand-Assouly.

In picture E, the girl is in bed, she’s ill, maybe she has the flu.

    Homework for Tuesday 29th:

    Apprendre leçon.
