Andrea is very courageous, brave and daring.
She says she is smart and she learns fast.
She never gives up. She is hard-working.
She is frank because she accepts her defects and her differences.
She is not skinny or glamorous but she is very serious.

Andrea’s interview (2)
Andrea wants to be a journalist but the job is for an assistant at a fashion magazine. Her qualities and experiences don’t match.
She is overqualified for the job:
- She has already been editor in chief
- She has studied at university
But she has never read the fashion magazine, she has never heard of the boss and she prefers working at “Run Way” than working at “McDonald’s”.
She is not stylish or fashionable. She thinks she is superior. She is a little arrogant. She is not very professional (she uses her nickname).

CORRECTION:
You have to cook good food.
-> I have already worked at a French restaurant.
You have to look after and play with the baby.
-> I have a little sister. I have played with babies before.
You have to be patient.
-> I do yoga everyday. I have met the Dalai Lama.

Andrea’s job interview
The scene takes place in New York City because there are yellow cabs and big buildings.
Andrea wakes up and prepares for her job interview. She wants a job at a fashion company.
The problem:
She is not stylish whereas all the other girls are fashionable.
In the morning, she eats an onion bagel, she has a normal boyfriend, she takes the subway, … She is just normal whereas the other girls are chic and elegant.

A deliveryman has to work in the cold during winter. Argument: I have lived in Alaska and I've worn this jacket. It's super resistant. For this job, you have to work at night and so get up early in the morning. I have a very big alarm clock and I'm always energetic. I love drinking coffee too and I've already worked in a night club. You must carry heavy newspapers. I go to the gym everyday and I've already pushed and lifted 100 kg. your comment

2nd extract: The allowance
An allowance is money from the parents. They can give you pocket money every week for example.
Chris is jealous because his friend has $5 a week.
He wants to save up to buy a new leather jacket.
He doesn’t like his brother’s clothes. They are too small, out of style and not cool.
When he asks money to his father, everybody is shocked.
"What the heck?!” “Are you crazy?” “You’re kidding me?”
