    The personality of the narrator

He was an alcoholic but he stopped drinking.

Maybe he is depressed because he doesn’t go out of his room.

He behaves like a child. He has a dog costume. He is a whiner. He always cries and he lives with his mom.

He listens to voices in his head so he is completely crazy. He is schizophrenic.

He is a perv(ert). He has a nude picture on his profile / account.

He is dangerous because he likes guns and he sends bombs.

The reasons of the son’s rejection

    The mom

    The son

    Maybe she is extremely mean.

She didn't want a boy. She wanted a girl.

Her son was handicapped she didn't like it.

She is alone and she has many children. She doesn't have money.

Maybe the son is a killer.

    He is a psychopath.

So he went to prison because he is a criminal.

He is an alcoholic or a smoker.

So his mom said: “I wish I never had you!

    The blind poet

At the beginning, it was* a horrible situation. Jamal and his brother lived in a slum, in a tent. They didn’t have food or drinks.

A man came* and rescued them but he was* a crook.

He wanted to blind Jamal for him to beg and make money in the street.

At the end, Jamal’s brother saved him and they escaped with money.

So it was* both a negative and positive situation. It was* traumatic for Jamal.

    Slumdog Millionaire 2nd extract

At the beginning, the children were playing in the water with a ball and their friend. And their mother was washing the saris.

    It was a joyful moment.

Then, the village was attacked and many people arrived.

    The mother was assassinated!

A man was on fire and a house was on fire too!

    It was a traumatic moment.

Jamal remembers this story because he was both traumatized and terrified.
