Hi guys,

today we studied the different options that Chris could have to buy his leather jacket.

Even if it is on sale and there is a big discount, he still doesn't have money. Chris is a loser... and his father didn't agree to give him an allowance (regular pocket money). He can't save up and he needs to work / to get a job. Maybe he's gonna become a pickpocket and steal... or he could choose to deliver newspapers, do baby-sitting, or wash cars instead...

today we first sang the song from Annie Get Your Gun and then we continued the lesson. We studied a menu from an American diner.

Here is what we said about it:

The menu is American because...

• the spelling is American -> favorite / favourite / donut / doughnut
• the vocabulary is American -> (French) fries / chips
• the references and traditions are America:

1. Route 66 is a famous road from Chicago to Los Angeles.
2. Free refill for beverages = you can drink as much as you want.
3. A diner is a typical American restaurant along the road.

Then we started to try and remember the new vocabulary and its pronuncation with "Kim's Game". We'll finish this activity next time.
