• Hello!

Today, we corrected your crosswords and explained how to talk about the news.

    This is what you said:

Tuesday, September 8th (the eighth) 2015

    What happened last summer?

    1. On June 26th (the twenty-sixth), there was a terrorist attack in Tunisia. A man shot tourists on a beach in Sousse. There were British, German and Belgian tourists.

    2. In July (On July 1st ), an American hunter killed a very old (13 years old) lion during a safari (in a national park) in Zimbabwe. People were shocked because the lion was a protected animal, it's illegal to kill them.

    3. In July, Novak Djokovic won the wimbledon title. It was his 8th grand slam title.

    4. In London, Prince William and his wife Kate christened(=baptized) their daughter Charlotte. All the royal family (=their relatives) attended the ceremony.

    5. In July, there was the 102nd « Tour de France », the winner was Chris Froome, a British cyclist.

REMEMBER: To talk about the news, include

    -When: date (day, month, year).

    -Where (city, country...)

    -Who (people)

    -What happened ?

    -Why (reasons)
