First option: asking money to his family

Chris wants a leather jacket because he wants to be cool, fashionable, and stylish like every teenager.

Problem: he doesn’t have any money.

- He asks his family but his father says no. He won’t give him an allowance. He lectures him during 3 hours.

Vocabulary: a piggy bank

Document # 1: the poster

The document is a poster of the TV series “Everybody Hates Chris”.

The colours are flashy and joyful. Green, yellow, and blue. They don’t match together and contrast with title. The title is curvy.

We know immediately it’s a comedy.

In the center, there is Chris: the main character. He is wearing the same colours as the poster. He is not fashionable / stylish at all. He looks like a puppet. He is shocked / more than surprised / stunned.

At the bottom, there are his family and his best friend. They are looking and laughing at him.

The caption on the right shows the series is a comical autobiography: the “real” life of Chris Rock but more than reality.
