  • Hello everyone,

Today we started with a test for about fifteen minutes.

Then, we worked on taste verbs and grammar.

This is the lesson we wrote:

    Monday, January 19th

    (the nineteenth)

Grammar : les verbes de goût

    Affirmations:

    è     S + verbe de goût + nom : She loves cakes.

è     S + verbe de goût + verbe : She loves dancing. => on met le verbe en –ING lorsqu’il suit un verbe de goût.

    Négations :

    è             S + auxiliaire + négation + verbe de goût (infinitif) + nom :

Ex : She            doesn’t                    like                        bananas.

    è             S + auxiliaire + négation + verbe de goût (infinitif) + verbe en ING :

Ex : She             can’t                         stand                      singing.

HOMEWORK : Tuesday 20th : Learn the grammar lesson.

  • Hello everyone,

Today, we corrected your homework :

    Thursday, January 15th

    (the fifteenth)

Correction of the homework: personality of Olivia and the jury

Olivia is very brave but she is not shy at all.

Olivia is extremely relaxed and calm. She is also very easy-going.

The jury is very surprised because Olivia brought a snake with her.

At the same time, they are scared.           (=bring, apporter)

The snake surprises and disgusts the jury.

Then, we worked on taste verbs <3

    We completed this document :

HOMEWORK : learn the taste verbs (verbes de goût)

  • Hello everyone,

Today, we watched a video about Olivia Binfield.

    Tuesday, January 13th

    (the thirteenth)

    Olivia’s video

Questions from the jury to Olivia :

    a)     What’s your name? Olivia.

    b)     How old are you? Seven.

    c)      What will you do? A poem.

    d)     What do you want to be later? A zoologist.

    e)      What’s that????

What’s the name of your snake? Lucy.

    What’s going to happen next?

    -        I think the jury will buzz Olivia.

    -        I guess the snake will bite Olivia.

          /bait/

    What really happens?

    -        Actually, Olivia gets three “yeses”.

    -        Actually, the snake is trying to strangle her.

    -        So, the presenter wants the jury to say “yes” or “no”

    HOMEWORK : Thursday 15th :

    -        Learn the questions and read the rest of the lesson.

    -        Write 2 sentences about the jury’s feelings and about Olivia’s feelings [surprised, disgusted, scared + brave, calm, relaxed, easy-going]
