    Today, you asked /t/ questions about Chloe's activities in Paris and you answered /d/ and justified /d/ with the text.

    Here's the lesson:

    Le preterit

    A la forme affirmative:

    - Verbes réguliers: on rajoute -ed à la fin du verbe.

    > prononciations possibles : /t/ ou /d/ ou /id/ > il faut choisir celle qui est la plus facile à dire !

    Ex: walked /t/ stayed /d/ visited /id/ 

     

    - Verbes irréguliers* : il faut les apprendre par cœur. 

    Have > had 

    Be > was / were 

    Take > took 

    Go > went 

    Send > sent 

    Make > made 

    Meet > met 

     

    A la forme négative : Sujet + DIDN'T + Verbe à l'infinitif. 

    Ex: She didn't buy presents. 

     

    A la forme interrogative : DID + Sujet + Verbe à l'infinitif + … ? 

    Ex: Did she go to Paris? 

     

    Homework for Monday 18th : être capable de me dire 5 activités de Chloé (ex: She had a sandwich) en s'aidant de la fiche distribuée en classe.

    Today, you reviewed the questions about your summer holidays.

    Then, you listened to Chloe and took* some notes about her summer holidays.

    Notes:

    Paris with Lucy (friend) – by train – last August – 5 days in a small hotel in city centre – fantastic holidays – a lot of fun

    In the morning:

    - visit museums (Louvre – favourite)

    - famous tourist sights

    For lunch:

    - eat sandwich

    - crepes in a park (delicious)

    In the afternoon:

    - walk around the city

    - take a lot of pictures

    In the evening:

    - dinner in small restaurants

    - discos / pubs

     

    - no presents – very expensive

    - postcards – family

     

    - interesting places and people – good friends.

     

    Homework for Thursday 14th: écrire dans cahier 5 questions sur ce que Chloe a fait pendant les vacances (ex: Did she visit her family?)
