• Hello,

Today, you watched a second video extract and you told me the differences between the text and the movie.

The meeting between Ted and the Once-Ler

Ted is driving to meet and speak to the Once-Ler at night.

He is scared because there are ravens and the house is terrifying. It looks like a cemetery and there are many traps everywhere.

The Once-Ler is ugly because he is green and hairy. He has long green plastic gloves.

Ted rings at the door and the Once-Ler peeks out of the shutters.

Contrary to the text, Ted rings at the door in the movie.

In the movie, Ted doesn't put the proper amount in a tin pail whereas in the text, you must toss it in a tin pail.

    Homework for Monday 4th:

  • Hello,

    Exception: le verbe BE > was / were > wasn't / weren't.

    Homework for Friday, June 1st:

être capable de parler du prétérit et revoir la liste de verbes.

  • Hello,

Today, you did a recap of the Police Notice and then you played the 7 mistakes game with the first picture.

    Police Notice

This text says three women were* murdered on August and September, in 1888.

They were* killed in or near Whitechapel, in London.

The police asks the people from the neighbourhood to call them if they witnessed anything.

    7 mistakes

In this picture, there are no posters whereas in the previous picture, there were* three posters on the walls.

Unlike the first picture, in this picture the shadow is holding the knife in his left hand.

In this picture, the shadow has a smaller hat than in the previous picture.

Contrary to the first picture, the dead woman has a tattoo but she lost* a toe.

Homework for Monday 4th: être capable de décrire la Police Notice et donner les 7 différences entre les images.

    The Once-Ler

The Once-Ler is a character. He lives in a tower.

I can only see his eyes and his gloves. He is very mysterious.

He knows what happened to real trees. To have the story, you must pay 15 (fifteen) cents, a nail, and the shell of a great-great-great-grand-father snail.
