This is what we did last week:

On Thursday, March 22nd, we started comparing three dcouments(an extract; a painting and a movie still from Oliver Twist. )

Your homework was to write other differences using 'whereas', 'but' or 'both'.

On Friday, March 23rd, we revised sequence 4 for the final test, you watched more extracts about Oliver twist and used the two preterites.

On Thursday, March 29th, we started our new chapter: Australia!

We brainstormed everything you know about the country and you wrote a mindmap in your copybooks.

Today, you had your final test.

Today, you discovered the theme of the new sequence.

Tourism in Australia

This document is an ad. It encourages people to go and visit Australia. It's from a travel agency. It is for people who work a lot and are very tired.

In the foreground, there is a woman. She looks cheerful and relaxed. She is playing with a kangaroo on the beach. It is sunny and warm.

Tourism is an activity. You leave your city for 24 hours minimum and you visit a different country or city.

You discover different animals, cultures, landscapes, monuments, museums…

You eat specialties and you take pictures to have memories.

You can make new friends and meet new people.

I would like to go to Australia because I want to discover new landscapes and a different culture.

I wouldn't like to go there because it's very far and the plane tickets are very expensive.

Today, you discovered what really happens in the scene.

What really happens next?

In reality, the customer gets a gun in his bag.

He shoots in the ceiling but it is an accident.

The manager can't move at all because he is extremely scared.

The other customers are scared too. One customer throws up! 

The customer changes his mind and he wants lunch.

He is irritated again because the real burger is flat and disgusting whereas in the picture the burger is big and appetizing.
