The service in Mumbai

There are 3 conditions to become a dabbawala:

• They must have a Gandhi cap (20 rupees)
• They must have 2 bikes
• They must have a cart

There are 5000 members. There are no bosses. Everybody is equal, everybody has the same salary.

The service costs 10 dollars a month. The salary of the dabbawala is 400 (four hundred) dollars a month. It is the average in India.
