• Hello everyone,

    Yesterday, we finally prepared and acted the role play !

    We built several restaurants in the class and we chose waiters and waitresses.

    You had to make as if you were going to these restaurants.

    We learnt many sentences used in restaurants, so, we made a lesson about that :

                                          Wednesday, September 25th
                                                               (the twenty-fifth)

                       Role play : let's recap
                          At the restaurant.

    At the Starry Night Cafe (Rayan's Cafe):

    W : Welcome, take/have a seat !
          Here is the menu. [...]
          What would you like to eat/drink ?
    C : I would like to eat a croissant and a donut.
          I would like to drink coffee. [à l'oral : I'd like to...]
    [...]
    C : Could I have the bill, please ?
    W : Here it is. It's three dollars twenty-five ($3.25), please.

    Homework : please learn the lesson for next time, that is : Monday !

  • Hello everyone,

    Today we got prepared for a big role play happening in several restaurants :

    We discovered the names of the restaurants and we imagined what food they served, what origin they corresponded to.

    Then, we lokked at the menus and we discovered new vocabulary.

    Finally, we made a lesson about all that :

                                             Monday, September 23rd
                                                            (the twenty-third)

                   ROLE PLAY : at the restaurant.

    Roles : a waiter or a waitress and a customer/a client.

    - The Starry Night Cafe is a place where we can drink rich blends of coffee. We can also eat croissants, donuts and excellent/yummy cheesecake !
    - At Abominoes (dominos/abominous) Pizza, we can eat kimchi and pepperoni pizzas.
    - At the Flying Kimono, customers can eat tuna or salmon sushi and maki.

     

    Homework : learn information about 1 restaurant + vocabulary.

    Today, we watched a stop motion video explaining the recipe of pancakes.

    It was hilarious, wasn't it ? If you want to have one more good laugh, watch it again there :

    We discovered the ingredients, the instruments and we wrote the complete recipe.

    Homework : learn the vocabulary (ingredients and instruments).

  • Hello Euro students,

    Today, we saw two photos representing breakfasts in GB and in the USA. We described what we could see.

    Then, we identified the vocabulary and determined if it was British food, American food, sweet or salty food.

    Finally, we acted a role play between a client ordering breakfast and a waiter/waitress.

     Homework : learn the vocabulary

    We saw several photos of families around the world. We discovered how much money they spend on food every week :

    Homework :

    - learn : In Germany they spend $500 on food every week whereas/while in Chad, they [just spend $1.62/ spend $1.62 only].
