Oliver Twist: Extract from a movie

The document is an extract from a movie.

In this extract, there is Oliver Twist. He doesn’t have parents. They’re dead. He is an orphan. He is 9 years. It’s his birthday.

He arrives at a strict Christian orphanage. It looks like a prison.

This orphanage is a house, a school and also a church but the children can’t sleep, don’t eat a lot. They don’t learn, they work for the army and they pray.

At the canteen, they eat a little gruel. It looks like soup. It isn’t delicious / it is disgusting! But the children are hungry.

Oliver asks for more soup. He is very courageous.

For this action, the director says he will be hanged.

    The visit at Madame Tussaud’s

The document is a conversation about a wax museum (Madame Tussaud’s in London).

Two people are talking about the museum: first, the history. Then the royal family and finally, the pop stars and actors.

Henry 8th (the eighth) was* famous because he had 6 wives (he executed two, he divorced two, and one died) and he created the Church of England.

They saw* the royal family: Queen Elizabeth 2nd , Prince Charles, Lady Diana and Camilla.

They took* selfies and they kissed Brad Pitt.

They didn’t like the history of London but they preferred the rooms of the pop stars.
