Hi guys,
today we corrected the exercises you had to do for today.
And the crazy story we finally invented:
Yesterday morning, I was sleeping when a cat came in...
At 1:00 pm, I was eating at the canteen when I heard the noise of a gun ...
At about 2:30 pm, I was studying in class when the director entered the room with an ax...
At 6:30 pm, I was doing my homework when a ghost arrived and helped me...
Later in the evening, my parents and I were having dinner when a mouse arrived with a sword! What a bizarre day!
Then we made a recap of what you had learned during the lessons about "Biographies and Oliver Twist" to prepare for your test.

Hi guys,
today we worked on Oliver Twist, the comic strip.
You had to complete the captions of the comic strip to make it more lively.
ACTION CADRE (Be+ing) -> ACTION PONCTUELLE ou QUI INTERROMPT / ARRIVE PENDANT QUE L'AUTRE ACTION SE DEROULE (-ed / irreg)
Then we observed how the sentences worked and analysed them. Here is the worksheet we used:

Hi guys,
today we worked on the end of the 1st extract from the movie "Oliver Twist".
Here is what we said:
The scene takes place in the 19th century.
It was very strict in a Catholic orphanage.
Before Oliver asked for more soup, it was noisy in the canteen whereas when he stood up, it was silent.
The atmosphere is suspenseful.
Oliver will be caned and he will be hanged!
It's unfair because he just asked for more soup. It was not a big stupid thing.
Maybe he will escape / run away and he will be homeless.-----------------------
During the 2nd part of the class, we saw that he did run away and he made friends with two pickpockets... A policeman arrested him while he didn't do anything. He was innoncent! That's UNFAIR!

Hi guys,
today you first had your test to record then we continued the lesson with analysing the contrasts in the movie "Oliver Twist" by Roman Polanski. We focused on the first scene again and commented on the difference of judgment and perception between you and the characters... Why was Oliver punished while he had only asked for more food....?

Homework:
- revoir l'extrait en entier (cf. articles précédents) et être capable de parler de tous les contrastes dans cette scène (lumière, mouvements de caméra, idées, ...)

Hi guys,
today we spoke about contrasts in Oliver Twist and we analysed the way the movie was filmed with different camera effects (when the camera is at the top or at the bottom).
Here is what you said:
The contrasts:
Oliver Twist is alone whereas the adults are many.
The adults look strong (the camera is at the bottom) whereas the children look weak (the camera is at the top).
Oliver is wearing a cap whereas the supervisor is wearing a top hat.
The supervisor looks like a giant whereas the children look very little.
The adults are fat whereas Oliver is skinny.________________________
Homework:
