Today we worked on grammar :

LES DEUX “PRESENTS”

1)   Le présent simple : le verbe seul à toutes personnes, sauf à la troisième personne du singulier où l’on ajoute un –S ou –ES. 

Exemple :

-       I (/ you / we / you / they) wash the dishes.

-       She/He washes the dishes. / He eats an apple.

ð Quand on l’associe à “every day”, “all the time”, on parle d’une habitude.

2)   Le présent Be + V-ing :  on conjugue “be” au présent simple et on ajoute le verbe avec la terminaison –ING.

Exemple : I am washing the dishes. / She is washing the dishes.

ð Il sert à décrire une action.

Exercise : choose simple present or present be+V-ing.

a)   Cinderella does the dusting every morning. 

b)   She sweeps the floor on Sundays. 

c)   At the moment, my father does the mopping. 

d)   You ..................................... (do) your English exercise. 

e)   In the evening, she ................................ (listen) to the radio. 

HOMEWORK : Friday 14^th : learn the lesson + finish the exercise.
