Whitechapel: a very poor, dark, scary neighborhood
Whitechapel was very poor. There was overpopulation.
For example, there were 7 or 8 occupants per room in the
apartments.
There were many prostitutes because they didn't have a job; the
district was overpopulated. So they became prostitutes to survive.
There were many diseases so some witnesses could die.
The district was very dark and at the time, the police didn't have
cameras!
