What were people doing when the Titanic hit the iceberg ?
-A couple was / Jack and Rose were kissing when the ship struck the iceberg .
-When the collision happened, the Italian passenger (Jack's friend) was sleeping.
-The engineer was sitting on the deck and drinking a glass of wine when the liner hit the iceberg.
-The sailors were watching and making fun of the couple when they saw the iceberg.

-Be (au prétérit-→ was/were) + V- ING pour l'action cadre (qui se deroule au moment ou une autre l'interrompt
- L'action 2 est au prétérit simple.
