The first day of school
Afro-American people and white people couldn’t live in the same neighbourhoods so Ruby had to drive to school.
They couldn’t go to the same school so Ruby was excluded. The mothers and the director looked at Ruby badly. They despised her and insulted her.

At one moment, she went to the washroom and everyone was shocked.
