2. In July (On July 1^st ), an American hunter killed a very old (13 years old) lion during a safari (in a national park) in Zimbabwe. People were shocked because the lion was a protected animal, it's illegal to kill them.

3. In July, Novak Djokovic won the wimbledon title. It was his 8^th grand slam title.

4. In London, Prince William and his wife Kate christened(=baptized) their daughter Charlotte. All the royal family (=their relatives) attended the ceremony.

5. In July, there was the 102nd « Tour de France », the winner was Chris Froome, a British cyclist.
