Discovering India
A. A caste is a social group, a clan. India is divided in
five castes.
B. The capital city of India is New Delhi.
C. The most typical outfit for women is the saree/sari.
D. The Indian flag is green, white and saffron, with a
blue wheel.
Saffron is for courage, white is for peace and green is for
faith. The wheel represents the third eye.
E. «Bollywood» is a porte-manteau word (Bombay+
Hollywood).
It’s the film/cinema industry of India.
F. It means « crown of the palace», it is located in the
city of Agra, in the North.
