The Jim Crow laws
Black people and white people couldn't play in the same parks.
They couldn't go to the same public swimming pools.
They had to go to different/separate beaches.
They had to be buried in separate cemeteries.
In Georgia, barbers couldn't cut/shave Black people/colored people.
In Oklahoma, there were different phone lines for White or Black people.
Black people couldn't fall in love or marry each other: intermarriage was forbidden.
In Florida cohabitation in jails/prisons was forbidden.
In North Carolina, Blacks and whites were not allowed to go to the same libraries/served by the same librarians.
In North Carolina, they couldn't exchange books.
