Sequence 5 – Jack the Ripper
Hi guys!
Today, we started a new sequence about Jack the Ripper and I told you about the final task: you will build an evidence board like true detectives and try to find the real identity of Jack the Ripper!
You studied the first documents:
Here's the lesson:
In the picture, there is a man. He has a top hat and he is wearing a long coat. He has a knife [naif] in his left hand. We can’t see the man’s face.
In the foreground, there are feet. I think they belong to a dead woman.
The street is dark and maybe there is a fire in the background.
I think the picture is scary because the man is a mystery and the atmosphere is dark and gloomy.
There is blood on the posters and on the walls in the street.
The posters are Police Notices.
Three women were murdered in or near Whitechapel, in August and September 1888.
I think the woman on the floor is the fourth victim!
Homework for Thursday 14th: recopier la leçon sur le blog et être capable de décrire l’image et le poster.
