It is about bobsled.
A bobsled is a pushcart with no wheels.
To have a good bobsled team, you need:
- a driver,
- three strong runners,
- ice,
- a coach,
- a helmet and gloves.
It is a winter sport and the friend is shocked because in Jamaica there is no ice, or penguins, or eskimos, or igloos…
So he leaves because he thinks his friend is completely crazy / mad / insane.
