Blog à destination des élèves du collège Joliot Curie (69500 Bron) mis en place par M. Hattais (Anglais) et Mme Parisi (Italien) en 2013

Tuesday, April 26th (the twenty-sixth)

Hello,

Today you read a book extract from The Lorax and you compared it with the animated movie.

Book extract 1:

The Once-Ler is an old (≠ young) man. He lives outside of town. He knows what happened to the trees and to the Lorax.

When you go to his castle, you mustn’t knock at his door. You need to put 15 cents, a nail and the shell of a great great grandfather snail in a tin pail on the end of a rope.

If you have the proper amount, the Once-Ler will tell you the forgotten story about trees and the Lorax.

Contrary to the book, in the movie Ted knocks at the door (he rings the doorbell.)

Unlike the book, in the movie Ted doesn’t put the money in the tin pail.

Homework for Thursday 28th: relire le texte (Fiche) au moins une fois + apprendre leçon.
