Extract 3: The orphanage
It was a very strict Catholic orphanage.
Before Oliver asked for more soup, the canteen was noisy, whereas after he stood up*, it was silent.
Oliver will be caned and he will be hanged.
I think it’s unfair, because he’s just a hungry child!
