-The Ganges is one of the most famous Indian rivers. It is considered as sacred/holy and many people bathe in it.
-India is surrounded by China, Pakistan, Bhutan, Burma, Nepal, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka.
- In India there are 1.3 billion people.
The 3 largest cities are:
Mumbai: about 19 million people
Delhi about 16 million people
Kolkata/ Calcutta : around 14 million people
-Both India and the USA have federal governments (=they are divided in states).

The most typical Indian dishes are:
-Aloo gobi: a vegetarian dish with curry.
-Chicken curry
-Tandoori chicken
The most typical Indian drink is the lassi.
