The death of the mother
At the beginning the mother was washing
clothes in the river (maybe the Ganges)
while the children were playing in the
water.
A group of men attacked the village and
hit the mother with a stick.
The two boys ran away and saw a child
representing God Rama.
They met policemen but they ignored the
situation.
Jamal’s mother died that day, it was
traumatizing.
