Today you watched a video about Whitechapel and women's condition back in Victorian times and we did a recap about what you understood.
LESSON 3: (VIDEO)
London, in the 1880s, was the largest capital city in the world. It was Victorian times. Victoria was at that time Queen for 50 years. In 1888, there was a series of brutal murders that caused scandal.
Life was a daily battle to survival for women. There were poor salaries and a lot of poverty in Whitechapel, so many women were forced to become prostitutes to survive.
