Two types of questions:
1/ Be = was/were
Be est surpuissant: il se conjugue tout seul.
Who was he?
Where and when was he born?
What was his job?
2/ Verbes autres que BE:
DID est l'auxiliaire pour former les questions au prétérit.
Where and when did he move?
When and why did he become famous?
How many children did they have?
When did they divorce?
How long ago did Charles Dickens die?
He died a hundred and forty-six years ago.
1812: eighteen twelve
1870: eighteen seventy
2016: two thousand sixteen.
