Henry VIII’s biography
Henry VIII was born in 1491 in Greenwich palace.
He created Hampton Court palace and lived in this castle.
He was the King of England and Ireland. He became king in 1509.
He created the Church of England and he invented divorce.
He loved jousting tournaments, playing music, tennis and hawking.
He was famous because he had six wives. He executed two of his wives and he
divorced twice.
He had four children. Two sons but one died and two daughters.
He died in 1547 because he had an infection in his leg.
