Ruby Bridges
The document is an extract from a movie. In this extract, a little black girl (Ruby) went* to a white school.
There was* a demonstration against her and people were* extremely violent:
A man had* a confederate flag. A white woman spat* at Ruby and said*: “I want you to die”. There was* a racist insult on the wall (“Nigger”) and the word K.K.K (a racist organisation). There were* many placards with racist sentences / slogans. At the end, a man threw* a tomato at Ruby.
→ The girl was* brave. She stood* very courageous but she was* shocked when she saw* the tomato.
