New lesson !

Hello everyone,

Today, we started a new lesson and we talked about a new tense : present be - ing.

Here is the lesson about Jennifer's dad :

                                                    Can you help me, please ?

Her father needs help.

Jennifer can't because she is doing her homework.

Her brother can't because he is practising for a match.

At the end, they are doing a waterfight but the father is washing the car.

Then, we explained the construction of present be-ing :

                         Présent BE - ING

- Construction : auxiliaire "be" au présent simple et verbe avec la terminaison -ING.

- Orthographe : lorsque le verbe n'a qu'1 syllabe, se termine avec 1 consonne précédée d'1 voyelle, alors on double la consonne finale :
Ex : running = run + n + ing
Lorsque le verbe se termine par -e, on enlève le "e" et on ajoute "ing" : ex : practising = practise - e + ing.

HOMEWORK : Do this exercise for Tuesday 17th :

Exercise :

Question : ....... you practis....... tennis ?
Negation : She ......... play........ football.
Réponse courte : Yes, he ....... / No, she ..........
