Hi guys,

today you finished working on vocabulary from the text.

Here is the text again and the correction:

Here are some notes we took (not in the copybook yet):

Place: Whitechapel
poor / destitute neighbourhood
in London / in the East End
People couldn't eat = they died of starvation
The conditions of living were harsh / very difficult.
The apartments were very dirty. The systems to clean the city didn't work correctly.
It was gruesome.
There were many prostitutes who worked in brothels and in unlit alleys / dark streets.
