Exercise 1 : Translate in English

a)   J’étais en train de marcher dans la rue quand un chat me sauta dessus.

b)   Nous étions en train d’écouter de la musique quand ma mère nous appela.

c)    Ils étaient en train de jouer au foot quand le gardien se cassa la jambe.

WORD BANK :

-        Marcher : walk – sauter sur : jump on.

-        Ecouter : listen – appeler : call

-        Se casser la jambe : break …. leg : ex : break my leg = prétérit : broke

Exercise 2 : Put them in the correct order

a)    homework – doing – his – was – he – phone – on – his – sister – called – the – when – him

b)   friend – talking – my – was – the – on – phone – fainted – when – she
