Hypotheses - what if you were in Aaron's situation?

Hi guys,

today we made a recap of what you knew about important things to survive, then we continued talking about the situation. You imagined yourself in Aaron's situation and here is what you said:

If I was / were in his situation, ...
If I was / were trapped under a boulder, ...

Good ideas:
... I wouldn't give up. I would try to survive.
I wouldn't cut my hand.
I wouldn't drink my urine.
I would shout and scream for help again and again.
I wouldn't eat all my food at once.
I wouldn't cry.
I would be courageous.

Bad ideas:
... I wouldn't sleep.
I would commit suicide.
I would abandon.
I would eat my hand.
I would wait.
