Hypotheses and Suppositions about the end of the Aaron's story

Hi guys ,

today you first took new seats in the classroom. I think there will be new adjustments rather quickly...

Darn it! When are you going to behave properly?!

Then we continued the lesson about Aaron's predicament. Here is what we said:

If he screamed, maybe someone would hear him.
If he succeeded to move the boulder (rock), he would walk away and he would go to the hospital.
If he tried to move the rock, I think he wouldn't succeed.

-> If + S + Prétérit -------- S + WOULD + BV = l'hypothèse en anglais.
Attention le /L/ de "would" s'écrit bien mais il ne se prononce pas.

-> Opinion:

I think / I believe / Maybe / In my opinion, ...

... he's going to live.

... he's gonna live.

-> Lorsque l'on donne son opinion sur un événement futur, on utilise la forme BE + GOING + TO + BV ou la forme contractée: BE + GONNA + BV

Homework:

- apprendre la leçon par coeur.
- se préparer à un contrôle vocabulaire / leçon / grammaire depuis le début de la séquence "Survive!" (probablement mercredi).
- pour se préparer, rien de mieux que des exercices similaires au test, voir très très similaires...
