Today, we started a new sequence about Jack the Ripper!

Séquence 5 * Jack the Ripper

Lesson 1 : Discovering the case

The documents are a picture and a Police notice.

In the picture, in the middle, there is a shadow. He has a top hat, he’s wearing a long coat and he’s carrying a knife in his left hand. He is in a dark alley at night, we can see the moonlight in the background, behind the shadow.

In the foreground, there are feet. I think they belong to a dead prostitute. I suppose she’s naked.

I think the shadow is Jack the Ripper and he just stabbed the prostitute.

There are Police notices on the walls. It’s a warning for people from Whitechapel. Three women were murdered in August and September 1888, in the neighbourhood.

Maybe, the dead woman in the picture is the fourth victim of this criminal.
