Exercises + places in a city

Hello everybody,

Today, we first did three exercises to practise : is and are, place prepositions.

Here is the correction :

Exercise 1 : Choose the right verb : is or are ?

a)   Where is my telephone ?

b)   Where are my friends ?

c)    My book is on the table.

d)   My copybooks are in my bag.

e)   Where are my parents ?

Exercise 2 : Translate (traduis) the prepositions.

a)   The pencil is on (sur) the desk.

b)   The children are under (sous) the statue.

c)    The jogger is behind (derrière) the trees.

d)   The old man is in front of (devant) the bin.

Exercise 3 : Put the words in the correct order (ajouter majuscules + ponctuation).

a)   girl – is – the – to – little – next – pram – the

The little girl is next to the pram.

b)   benches – friend – my – between – is – the – two

My friend is between the two benches.

c)    her – sitting – teacher – my – on – is – chair

My teacher is sitting on her chair.

Then we worked on a listening task with your workbook page 24 :

We discovered places vocabulary (leisure centre, swimming-pool, library, sports shop...)
