End of the webquest

Hi guys,

today we worked on the end of your webquest and we spoke about important Afro-American figures from the Civil Rights Movement and Normal Rockwell's painting.

Here is what you said:

MLK = the leader of the Civil Rights Movement, he "fought" for desegregation. He gathered people for protests.
Rosa Parks = a Civil Rights activist, she "fought" against the Jim Crow Laws. She didn't sit at the back of the bus. She sat at the front. She was arrested.

-> They believed in non-violence.

Malcolm X = He organized riots. He believed blacks were superior.

-> He believed in violence.

Norman Rockwell:
He always painted scenes and people from reality. He was "hyper-realistic".
