Correction of the webquest

Hello everybody,

Yesterday, we almost finished the correction of your webquest.

Here it is :

Halloween is celebrated on the 31st of October. The word "Halloween" comes from "All Hallows Even", which is the night before All Saints Day.

It was made a national holiday in 835 AD to honour all the saints.

Halloween was also called "Samhain".

People built bonfire to scare/frighten spirits away.

Soul cakes were given in exchange for prayers for the dead.

Jack O'lanterns are carved pumkins that look scary and with candles inside.

In Mexico, they celebrate El Dia de los Muertos or the day of the dead which starts on October 31st. 

Black cats are believed to protect witches and negative forces.

It took Jerry Ayers 37 seconds to carve a pumpkin !

HOMEWORK : revise the correction and finish the webquest.
