today we spoke about a British celebration: Bonfire Night. We watched a video:
Here is what we said about the video:
Bonfire Night (history): In 1605, a terrorist (Guy Fawkes) wanted to kill the king. He made a plot but the king didn't die. He was arrested and executed. He was burned.
Bonfire Night (tradition today): Today, British people celebrate this execution on the 5th of November. Every year, they light a fire, and burn a "guy". They walk in the streets with torches and they watch fireworks.
