Blog à destination des élèves du collège Joliot Curie (69500 Bron) mis en place par M. Hattais (Anglais) et Mme Parisi (Italien) en 2013
Hello everyone,
During the last lessons, we started preparing a new subject for "histoire des arts".
First, we played a game about Andy Warhol's life : play it again here :
http://www.qagoma.qld.gov.au/kids/games_for_kids
We wrote a lesson about him :
ANDY WARHOL'S LIFE
- His parents were from Slovakia but he lived in the USA. When he was a child, he liked using his camera.
He started selling his artwork at 10 years old.
He wanted to be a tap dancer.
- He used blotted-ink drawings. He made adverts for shoes, Christmas cards, he wrote books and he created record covers.
- He was a pop artist. Pop means popular. He used ordinary objects to make art, such as Brillo, Coca Cola and Campbell's soup.
Then, you had to finish writing the lesson and this is what you produced :
. He made/created portraits of Marilyn Monroe, Elvis and Liz Taylor.
He produced TV shows, he took photos for magazines and he wrote books.
He said that in the future, everybody would be famous for 15 minutes. He appeared on a TV show called the Love Boat.
During the next lesson, you had to listen to information on the MP3 players and to fill in a document (capsule 1, 2, 3, 4).
To finish you had to exchange information with your partners.
HOMEWORK for Thursday 10th : write 3/4 sentences about your capsule and revise the information about Warhol.
