2nd extract: Slumdog Millionaire
Jamal and his brother were swimming in a pool. Their mother was washing the clothes of the family and they were playing ball.
Soldiers arrived in the village and started to fight.
One of them hit* and killed the mother.
The brothers escaped and ran* away.
When they were running, they saw “God Rama”.
They saw* the police but they didn’t have a solution. The police didn’t react.
→ Jamal was both shocked and traumatized. It was the worst memory in his life.
