10 ways to survive in the wild (picture and article)

Hi guys,

today we continued talking about the picture and the article about Jamie Neale. Here is what we said:

Jamie is a British teenager. He was hiking in Australia, near Sydney but he got lost in the bush during a fortnight (15 days).

He only survived thanks to his instincts.

Vocab:

- berries -> He ate berries and leaves; and he drank rain water to survive.
- leaves
- a log -> He slept under logs. It was his "camp", his shelter.
- foggy -> The weather conditions were extreme. He was lucky to survive.
- freezing
- wet (rainy)

We also began to talk about the priorities when you are in a survival situation. You mentioned "water" as the number one priority. You said:

- Water is the most important thing because you cannot survive 15 days without water.
