Obligations and interdictions for Black people
- In the past, white people thought black people deserved nothing.
Black people couldn't drink from the same fountains as white people.
They had to use separate water fountains.
Black people couldn't sleep in the same
hotels as white people.
Black people had to go to a separate
hotel.
Black people had to sit at the back of
buses and they couldn't sit at the front.
