Hi guys,
today we worked on the end of the text to see if Jacob could finally enter the USA or not.
Here is what we said:
Jacob lied to the doctor because he was scared.
The doctor thought and knew he lied. He asked: "what's the real story?"
He understood Jacob because maybe he was an immigrant too. Maybe he immigrated from Germany and he let him pass out of sympathy.
