• Hi guys,

     

    today we first corrected the crossword puzzle you had to finish for today with the new vocabulary of the sequence.

    Then we started to think and analyse the grammar we have used so far. Here is what we said:

     

    Les deux présents en anglais:

    * BE + ing = on l'utilise quand on parle d'une action que l'on peut voir ou entendre au moment où l'on parle.

    Forme de BE au présent = I am / you are / he-she-it is / we are / you are / they are ........ ing

    ex:
    In my picture, Rapunzel is playing the guitar.
    In my picture, she is painting.
    In my picture, she is dancing.

     

    * Simple: on l'utilise quand on parle d'une habitude, d'une action qui se répète, d'une vérité générale.

    Forme simple = le verbe seul ou le verbe + s (seulement à la troisième personne du singulier).

    ex: Rapunzel wants to see the lights in the sky because every day she does the same activities.
    Every year, lights appear in the sky.

     

    Le futur: il suffit d'ajouter "will" avant le verbe pour le mettre au futur

    ex:
    Tomorrow night, lights will appear in the sky.

    - pouvoir ré-expliquer en français comment et quand utiliser les 2 présents et le futur.

  • Hi guys,

     

    today we did a vocabulary recap about Rapunzel's activities.

    Then we did a lesson recap of what you had to know about her and her story.

    – Talk about the characters (Rapunzel [the girl] and Pascal [the chameleon pet])
    Describe them (body / clothes / personality...).
    – Why do you think she is bored? Why does she repeat: "When will my life begin?"
    – Have you seen the movie? Can you try and explain the story in English to
    others?
    – What do you think of the movie and the characters so far? Do you like them?
    Why?

    (seriez-vous capable de répondre à ces questions? où trouver ces informations dans votre cahier?)

    Here is what we said in the end:

    She wants to see the lights. Each year, on her birthday, they appear in the sky. Tomorrow night, Rapunzel will be older and the lights will appear again.

    (not in the notebooks yet)
    She will say: "please mother, let me go".

    = let me see the world / let me go out of the tower / let me discover real life / let my life begin

    today after correcting your vocabulary exercise, we started to fill in the lyrics of the song at the beginning of the movie: "Tangled" entitled: "When will my life begin?"

    - terminer de remplir les paroles de la chanson pour ceux qui n'auraient pas eu le temps de tout noter en classe.

    - bien connaître son vocabulaire et les leçons sur "Rapunzel".

  • Hi guys,

     

    today we worked on the beginning of the film Rapunzel again. First we learned the new vocabulary thanks to the pictures and then you had to classify her activities chronologically.

    Finally, you had to complete the chart about her activities according to 4 categories (4 columns).

  • Rapunzel's activitiesHi guys,

     

    today we managed to watch the beginning of "Tangled", the movie about Rapunzel's story. Here is what we said:

    Question: "What is she doing in your picture?"

    1- She is making candles.
    2- She is brushing her hair.
    3- She is drinking.
    4- She is playing chess.

    --> Quand on décrit une action que l'on peut observer (voir, entendre, ...), on utilise BE + ing au présent:

    I am ... ing /  You are ... ing / He is ... ing...........

    ing ! ing ! ing !

    Pronunciation: la prononciation du /g/ final est réduite.

     

    We also tried to reorder the activities you could name accoring to the chronological order of appearance in the cartoon.

    Homework:

    - apprendre la leçon = être capable de décrire n'importe quelle action dans le dessin animé.
